High School

Introduction to the High School

Summit Academy Charter High School has been welcoming intellectually adventurous high school scholars to participate in a rigorous, college preparatory program since 2012.  We have designed these programs for scholars in grades 9 to 12 – all with the goal of giving young people the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skill set to be successful in college and the world beyond.

From Forensic Science to AP Psychology, we offer over 30 courses – a dazzling variety of humanities, sciences, social sciences, professional, and creative subjects – transcending traditional classroom limitations and school curricula.

At Summit Academy, we understand that college-bound scholars are anxious and excited and that the transition from high school to college can seem overwhelming.  With that in mind, we’ve implemented a college immersion program.  This program will provide scholars unforgettable college experiences throughout their high school years.  This opportunity will allow each scholar the opportunity to visit and tour colleges first hand, assisting them find the right college fit for him/her.  Additionally, the College Immersion experience will prepare them for college success because they will learn of on campus resources, skills building such as study skills and time management, which are critical to college success.  They will also participate in college fairs, virtual tours of campuses and career development that will help them closely align their career goals with colleges that will be most suitable for their goals.
